The Story behind RuleConnect.

RuleConnect is the result of decades of project experience.

In supporting many automation projects in which optimizers were implemented and configured, subjects and objectives had to be defined and documented as a starting point. This rule-related information was often for different systems interpreted and implemented differently, so that before implementing a new system or before replacing an old system, it had to be laboriously clarified how the rules to be implemented should be taken into account and on which sources this information was based. In some cases, it also turned out that old systems still take specifications into account, even though the specifications have already changed.

This gave rise to the idea of structuring all rule-relevant information and also linking it in time so that if the specifications change or the interpretation of specifications changes, it becomes immediately clear which IT systems need to be adjusted.

The first prototype developments for RuleConnect started in 2018, but were slowed down by the pandemic in 2020. Today's development re-started in 2023 in collaboration with a large European airline as a pilot customer, where the software has been used productively since the beginning of 2024.
